Status: New

  • A new way to estimate windows has been added to Ra Workshop. Starting from now you can define pricelists: matrixes with prices and rules to quote different types of windows and doors;
  • Heat transfer coefficient calculation. Based on new material properties, Ra Workshop is able to compute the heat transfer coefficient for every window and door;
  • Automated glass selection based on the window’s/door’s dimensions. Glass elements can be grouped into families and Ra is able to change automatically the glass with another one from the same family that matches the new window/door size;
  • Wind load calculation. Mullions will be selected based on the wind load calculations;
  • Warning messages are triggered when a wrong mullion is used;
  • New property: continuity point. Two consecutive segments can be computed (reported) as one if are joined by a continuity point. This feature allows you to design new shapes, like U arch from 1 segment;
  • New profile type: Raw profile. This type of profiles can be used for wood profile as a raw material. This way you can generate the profile order report with raw materials;
  • New profile type: Sash with hook. This profile is used in sliding windows/doors;
  • New profile type: Mullion with hook. This profile is used in sliding windows/doors for designing fixed with sliding sash;
  • New profile type: Mullion with track. This profile is used when designing a fixed window over a sliding one;
  • New rule parameter: compound profile. Now you can differentiate between compound profiles and profiles;
  • New rule parameter: Glass. Now you can define different rules based on the glass code;
  • New rule parameter: Filling Type. Now you can differentiate, for example, between glass and panels;
  • Accessories and fittings Excel import/export. This feature will allow you to update bulk data from an Excel file (ex: update prices);

  • Compound accessories and fittings. You can define fittings that group together multiple elements (other fittings). In this way you can add only one rule in the fitting system and the BOM will include all the sub components. This feature is similar to the way compound profiles work;
  • Auto-update. Starting from now, Ra Workshop will be able to auto-update itself. CE;
  • Mark third party integration.

Status: Improved

  • Profiles price can be defined based on volume. For example you can define wood profile prices per cubic meter;
  • Profiles price can be defined based on surface. For example you can define aluminum profile prices computed based on the profile mill finish price plus the powder coating per surface;
  • Color lists and the way it interacts with the profiles are improved significantly. Instead of adding colors on profiles you can add color lists. By this way you can type only on price, instead of typing the price of each color. This feature allows you to easily maintain and complete your profile colors. By adding a new color to the corresponding color list, everything is ready;
  • The cutting optimization feature is able to generate cutting optimization for the raw materials;
  • New filter methods were added to the material forms. This will help you find and edit the materials easily;
  • Color lists copy/paste functions are available for profile and profile systems. With this feature you can copy color lists from one profile/profile systems to the others;
  • Cuttings copy/paste functions are available for profile systems. With this feature you can copy cutting definitions from one system to the others;
  • Rule functions are able to compute based on weight. With these new functions you can compute accessories and fittings based on sash weight (ex: springs, hinges, counter-weights, etc.);
  • The component’s surface can be computed to include the architrave’s dimensions. The design’s quotations can include the architrave;
  • You can now define different tolerances between any profiles. This feature will allow you to configure the database in such a way so you won’t be forced to use Window Libraries;
  • You can now define different glass tolerances for each profile. This feature will allow you to configure the database in such a way so you won’t be forced to use Window Libraries;
  • Georgian bars have a special category on the design board. This improvement makes working with Georgian bars a lot more easily.

Status: Updated

  • Profile Order report has been updated. The new report is able to generate the order based on raw materials;
  • Offer report has been updated. The new format was updated to display technical parameters (ex: weight, thermal transfer coefficient, etc.);
  • The compensation profile was updated with new functionality. This profile is used when designing a frame inside another frame;
  • When drawing the glazing bead, each profile will determine its own behavior based on the profile definition. On the old version the bottom profile determined the behavior of all the other profiles.
